Product roadmap

What's coming to EasyRoster

We ship weekly. This page shows what's next — not a wishlist, not vaporware. Each phase builds directly on what real beta users are asking for.

Phase 1Coming next

Features already in development or ready to unlock as beta stabilises.

Mobile app for staff

Native iOS and Android app — clock in/out, view shifts, and manage profile from the job site. Built with React Native + Expo.

GPS clock-in

Staff can only clock in when they're at the right location. Essential for cafés, retail, and care sites. Included in the mobile app.

Xero payroll export

Push approved time entries straight to Xero — no manual re-entry after timesheet approval. Foundation already built, unlocking post-beta.

Phase 2On the way

Features that close the gap with larger competitors while keeping the product small-team focused.

AI roster insights

Scheduling recommendations, cost alerts, and coverage gap detection — powered by the same AI backbone already running bug triage.

Real-time labour cost on roster

See estimated weekly wage cost update live as you build the roster — before you publish, not after payroll.

PayHero payroll integration

NZ-specific payroll integration for businesses already on PayHero. Same push-to-payroll flow as Xero, built for the NZ market.

Phase 3Later

Longer-horizon features for when the core is solid and the team is growing.

AI auto-draft roster

Generate a full week's roster from availability, past patterns, and compliance rules. Review and publish — not replace the manager.

Multi-location support

Manage rosters across multiple sites under a single account. Built for growing businesses that outgrow a single-location setup.

Higher-capacity plans

Larger team tiers and enterprise plans for businesses with 50+ staff. Pricing stays flat-rate — no per-user fees.

Already live in beta

What's working today

The core is already production-grade. Beta users are running real weekly operations on this.

How we decide what ships next

We're not trying to match every feature Deputy or Tanda has. We're building the smallest tool that makes weekly operations actually run — for NZ and AU small businesses that need the week sorted, not another platform to manage.

Real user pain first

Every phase comes directly from beta user feedback, support tickets, and what operators actually get stuck on.

Flat-rate pricing, always

No per-user fees. No surprise billing. Pricing stays simple even as the feature set grows.

NZ & AU compliance built in

Holiday pay, award multipliers, and labour law checks are part of the workflow — not an add-on.
