Common questions
- Do I need an account to use the roster generator?
- No. The roster generator runs entirely in your browser. You can add up to 5 staff, build a full week of shifts, and print or save a PDF without creating an account or giving us an email address.
- Where is my roster saved?
- In your own browser, not on our servers. That means it is still there when you come back on the same device and browser — but clearing your browsing data, using private browsing, or switching to another device will lose it. Creating a free account saves it properly.
- Is it really free, or is there a catch?
- It is free, and there is no time limit. The generator gives you the same 5-staff limit as our free plan, so if you decide to create an account later you keep exactly the conditions you already had.
- Can I keep my roster if I sign up later?
- Yes. When you create a free account, the rosters you have already built are carried across so you do not start from an empty screen.
- Can I print the roster or save it as a PDF?
- Yes. Print is built in, and printing to PDF works from any browser. PDF export is available on the free plan too, so this is not something you lose by not paying.
- Does my employees' information get sent anywhere?
- No. While you are using the generator without an account, the names and hours you type stay in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers unless you choose to create an account and bring the roster with you.
